"My mission is to create romantic, garden style florals and cultivate a new generation of flower lovers with online and in person events. I believe that flowers have the power to deliver joy, connect people, and fill our lives with wonder!”
Get ready to dive into the art of seed starting! In this hands-on workshop, we’ll cover everything from selecting the right tools and equipment to sourcing seeds. We'll discuss when to transplant seedlings to the garden and which ones need protection (many don't)! Did you know Lisianthus doesn't need frost protection? With East Texas' mild winters and only the occasional hard freeze, many early spring blooms thrive in our chilly nights and warm days.
We'll explore the benefits of soil blocking vs. traditional trays, discussing which method works best for different plants. You'll get hands-on practice creating soil blocks and leave with a seeded six-pack, ready to grow your own hardy annuals. Perfect for gardeners of all levels, this workshop will equip you with practical skills to get your garden blooming in no time!
$10 per person to cover the cost of materials. Pay at the workshop (cash or Venmo accepted).
Get to Know me
Living in the heart of East Texas, I am inspired by the fields of wildflowers and the tall piney woods that surround our farm. This inspiration has grown into a passion for creating romantic, garden-style floral designs and mentoring the next generation of flower farmers. My farming heritage began in the 1870's when my ancestors moved from Alabama to Texas and settled near Gary, Texas. I am a 5th generation East Texas farmer.
